When you replace stock motorcycle indicators with LED indicators, the turn signals can start flashing too quickly. This is a common issue on many motorcycles because LED turn signals consume less power than original halogen indicators.
Bonvent LED indicator resistors are designed to restore a normal flash rate while keeping the installation simple, clean and reliable. They are sold as a pair and are made for custom motorcycle builds, café racers, scramblers, bobbers, roadsters and vintage-inspired motorcycles using aftermarket LED indicators.
Most motorcycles are designed to detect the electrical load of standard indicators. LED indicators use less power, so the motorcycle can interpret them as a faulty or missing bulb. The result is often hyper flashing, where the indicator blinks much faster than normal.
LED indicator resistors add the correct electrical load back into the circuit, helping your LED turn signals flash at a normal speed without replacing the original flasher relay.
These motorcycle LED indicator resistors use male and female 3.5 mm bullet connectors, making installation simple when your indicator wiring uses compatible connectors.
They can be mounted inside the headlight area for front LED indicators, or under the seat or side panel for rear LED turn signal connections. No cutting or complex wiring is required when the connectors match your setup.
For many custom motorcycle projects, we prefer using LED indicator resistors instead of replacing the original flasher relay.
A poor-quality or incompatible flasher relay can sometimes create electrical issues, dashboard warning lights or unexpected behaviour depending on the motorcycle. Resistors are a simple way to correct the flash rate while keeping the original relay and wiring logic in place.
Bonvent tested this setup on custom motorcycle builds and recommends these plug & play resistors for a clean LED indicator upgrade when compatible with your connectors.

In many cases, yes. When you install LED indicators or LED turn signals, the flash rate can become too fast because LEDs use less power than standard indicators. LED indicator resistors help restore a normal blinking speed.
LED turn signals consume less electrical power than original halogen indicators. Some motorcycles detect this lower load as a faulty or missing bulb, which can cause fast flashing or hyper flashing.
A flasher relay replaces part of the motorcycle’s original indicator system. LED indicator resistors add the correct electrical load to the circuit while keeping the original relay in place. For many custom builds, this is a simpler and safer solution.
It depends on the motorcycle. Bonvent generally recommends resistors for compatible setups because they avoid replacing original electrical components. Poor-quality or incompatible flasher relays can sometimes cause dashboard warning lights or electrical issues.
Yes, they are plug & play when your LED indicators or motorcycle wiring use compatible 3.5 mm bullet connectors. No cutting or complex wiring is required in that case.
They can be installed inside the headlight area for front LED indicators, or under the seat or side panel for rear LED turn signal connections.
They are suitable for many aftermarket motorcycle LED indicators with compatible 3.5 mm bullet connectors, but they are not guaranteed to fit every motorcycle or every indicator brand.
Yes. These LED indicator resistors are ideal for custom motorcycle builds, café racers, scramblers, bobbers, roadsters and vintage-inspired motorcycles fitted with aftermarket LED turn signals.
