One Kit, A Complete Rear End for Your Bonneville

The all-in-one alternative to a piecemeal tail tidy

Most rear mudguards and tail tidies for the Bonneville solve one problem and create three: the tail light doesn't match, the plate light needs its own bracket, the indicators need adapters from a different supplier, and nothing quite lines up. This kit replaces the entire rear end of your Triumph Bonneville T100 or T120 in one coherent system: rear mudguard, tail light, number plate bracket, plate light and rear indicator mounts, all engineered to work together.

Because every component is part of the same system, there are no cross-brand compatibility puzzles to solve. You order one kit, and the rear of the bike is done.

Compact looks, real mud protection

The usual trade-off with a short rear mudguard is a soaked back and a mud-sprayed frame. We refused that trade-off. Adjustable anti-splash guards sit above and below the number plate and adapt to your plate format, so the visual footprint stays minimal while spray protection stays serious.

The result is the tight, custom silhouette that suits a scrambler or café racer build — without the roostertail of mud and rain that most minimal mudguards (rear fenders, for US riders) send up your back.

Hidden storage and clean wiring — something the stock mudguard never gave you

Classic-styled Triumphs offer no storage under the seat — not even for a registration document or a pair of gloves, and the original mudguard does nothing about it. This mudguard does two things about it:

  • Cable recess: a hidden pocket under the frame at the mudguard lets you route and stow all wiring, adapters and resistors for an exceptionally tidy loom.
  • Under-seat storage: a shaped recess beneath the seat gives you genuine space for gloves, registration papers or other small essentials.

Compatibility: liquid-cooled T100 & T120, 2016 to today

This kit fits all Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120 models with the liquid-cooled engine, from 2016 to the present. If your Bonneville is a T100 or T120 from 2016 onwards, this kit fits.

A plug-and-play adapter connects the entire rear lighting system directly to the motorcycle's original wiring loom. The adapter contains a built-in diode so the bike's ECU does not throw dashboard errors — a common issue when connecting aftermarket lights.

Materials and finish

Every component is finished to sit naturally on a modern classic Triumph:

  • Rear mudguard: ABS, painted black and hand-polished to a gloss finish.
  • Number plate bracket: CNC-machined metal with powder coating, mounted beneath the mudguard so it stays invisible from behind, with the plate light integrated on the bracket.
  • Tail light housing: metal with glossy black powder coating.
  • Brackets: matte black powder coating.

Installation: a weekend job you can do yourself

The kit installs well on your own. Expect roughly 2 hours for an experienced home mechanic, up to around 4 hours if you are a complete novice — a satisfying weekend project rather than a workshop bill. The rear system connects to the original loom through the supplied plug-and-play adapter, and video installation tutorials walk you through the whole process step by step.

Road-legal lighting, with certificates on request

All lights in the system — tail light, plate light and the indicators (turn signals) available as options — carry E-mark homologation certificates. If you need documentation for a roadworthiness inspection, we can supply the homologation certificates for all lights on request after purchase.

What's in the box — and what you can add

The kit ships with everything needed to convert the rear end: mudguard, plate bracket with integrated plate light, tail light, plug-and-play adapter, adjustable anti-splash guards and rear indicator mounts with a choice of mounting position. The full component list is detailed in the kit contents below.

To complete the look front to back, optional front indicator brackets, homologated indicators, plug-and-play indicator adapters and flash-rate resistors are listed in the options section below.

Guide produit

Choosing between a tail tidy and a complete rear-end kit

A standard tail tidy relocates the number plate and usually keeps your stock tail light and mudguard. That works if you like the original rear end. But if your goal is a genuinely different silhouette — the short-tail look of a scrambler or café racer — a tail tidy alone leaves you sourcing a compatible tail light, a plate light, indicator relocation brackets and wiring adapters separately, and hoping they all cooperate with the Bonneville's ECU.

This kit exists for the second scenario. The mudguard, tail light, plate bracket, plate light and indicator mounts were built as one system for the liquid-cooled T100 and T120 platform, and the supplied adapter with its built-in diode connects everything to the original loom without triggering dashboard errors.

Rear indicator placement: frame or plate?

The kit gives you a choice of rear indicator mounting: on the frame, or on either side of the number plate.

  • Frame mounting keeps the plate area minimal and draws the eye to the mudguard line — a natural choice for stripped-back scrambler builds.
  • Plate-side mounting groups all rear lighting in one compact cluster, which some riders prefer for a tidier frame.

Both positions use the mounts included in the kit, so you can decide during installation.

Why the adjustable anti-splash guards matter

Number plate dimensions vary widely between countries and registration types. Fixed splash guards designed around one plate size either leave gaps or force ugly compromises. The guards above and below the plate on this kit adjust to your plate format, so protection stays consistent whichever market your Bonneville is registered in.

Planning the full front-to-back conversion

If you intend to replace the front indicators too, order the optional fork-mounted front brackets and indicators together with the kit. The optional plug-and-play indicator adapters connect to the original loom, and the small inline resistors correct the flash rate without replacing the relay — the neatest route to a fully converted, road-legal lighting setup in a single install session.

FAQ

Will this kit fit my Bonneville?

It fits all Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120 models with the liquid-cooled engine, from 2016 to the present. If your T100 or T120 is a 2016 or later model, the kit fits.
