Under-Handlebar Turn Signals for Custom Motorcycles – Pair
Bonvent Motorbikes
Product overview
Nearly invisible from the front
These under-handlebar turn signals mount at the clutch and brake lever perch through a pre-drilled hole in the housing. They sit close to the controls rather than at the end of the handlebar or on a separate stalk. Their compact aluminium housings give the front of the motorcycle a clean, factory-style finish and remain nearly invisible from the front.
They are E-Mark certified and fully waterproof, offering a discreet solution for custom motorcycle builds.
Made for Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Royal Enfield, BMW and Custom Builds
These turn signals fit directly at the lever perch on most Harley-Davidson models using the pre-drilled mounting hole.
They can also be adapted to Triumph, Royal Enfield, BMW and other custom motorcycles. On non-Harley platforms, installation may require a homemade bracket or small adapter suited to the lever perch.

- Suitable for Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Royal Enfield, BMW and custom builds
LED Indicator Installation Note
When replacing stock indicators with LED indicators, some motorcycles may flash too quickly because LEDs use less power than original halogen indicators. This is especially common on Harley-Davidson models equipped with a CAN-bus electrical system.
If this occurs, compatible plug-and-play LED indicator resistors can restore the normal flash rate without cutting or splicing the original wiring, while keeping the original relay in place.

Why under-handlebar turn signals
Most aftermarket turn signals mount at the bar end or on a separate stalk, adding visible hardware to the front of the motorcycle. Under-handlebar turn signals take a different approach: mounted directly at the lever perch, they sit close to the controls and remain nearly invisible from the front. This discreet arrangement suits stripped-back custom builds where every visible component matters.
Fitment matters more than it first appears
This mounting position means the signal must clear the lever, switch housing and, on some builds, the brake or clutch cable. The perch and lever arrangement therefore determine the appropriate mounting solution. The signals fit directly to most Harley-Davidson lever perches using the existing pinch bolt, while other platforms may require a homemade bracket or small adapter.
The hyper-flash problem and how it is avoided
Replacing incandescent indicators with LEDs can cause hyper-flash, where the indicators blink faster than normal, or produce a dashboard error on CAN-bus-equipped motorcycles. LEDs draw less current than incandescent bulbs, so some motorcycle electrical systems interpret the lower load as a missing or faulty bulb.
The fix without complex wiring
Compatible plug-and-play LED indicator resistors restore the normal flash rate without cutting or splicing the original wiring, while keeping the motorcycle’s existing relay in place.
FAQ
Do you need indicators on a motorcycle in the UK?
In most road-use cases, motorcycles need working and visible indicators. Requirements can depend on the motorcycle type, age and local regulations, so always check the latest UK rules for your specific bike.
How do these mount — do I need to drill my levers?
No drilling is needed on the lever itself — each turn signal has a pre-drilled hole and mounts using your lever's existing pinch bolt.
Will these fit my clutch and brake levers?
They're designed to fit directly onto most Harley-Davidson lever perches. On Triumph, Royal Enfield, BMW and other custom motorcycles, fitment can usually be adapted with a homemade bracket or small adapter to match your specific lever perch.
Can these be mounted somewhere other than the handlebar?
Yes. While designed for under-handlebar mounting at the lever perch, they can also be adapted to fenders, license plate brackets and other locations on a custom build — you'll just need to make or source your own mount for that position.
What connectors do these use?
They use standard 3.5mm male bullet connectors, the same type found on most aftermarket LED turn signals, making them easy to wire into an existing custom harness.
Why do LED indicators flash faster after installing them?
LED indicators use less power than original halogen indicators. Some motorcycles — including CAN-bus equipped Harley-Davidson models — detect this lower electrical load as a missing or faulty bulb, which can cause fast flashing or a dashboard error.
How do you stop LED indicators flashing fast?
The usual solution is to add LED indicator resistors or use a compatible LED flasher relay. Bonvent generally recommends plug & play LED indicator resistors when compatible, because they keep the original relay in place.
Are these legal for road use in Europe? What does the E-Mark mean?
Yes. Each lens carries a genuine E-Mark approval, recognised across the EU regardless of which country issued it.
Are they waterproof for year-round riding?
Yes — the housing is fully waterproof, built for regular riding in changing weather conditions.
