Product overview

This complete tail tidy and LED tail light kit is designed specifically for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

It replaces the bulky original rear light assembly with a compact tail light, number plate holder, adjustable rear indicator brackets and plug and play wiring. The complete kit ensures that the supplied components fit and work together, for straightforward installation at home without a workshop.

Compatibility: all Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 models, across all production years.

E-mark approved / CE certified lighting

The supplied tail light and number plate light are E-mark approved / CE certified for road use. The optional LED indicators are also E-mark approved.

The kit gives the rear of your bike a cleaner custom look while keeping approved lighting components.

A complete kit with a number plate holder

The basic kit includes the essential parts for converting the rear of the motorcycle:

  • An approved LED tail and brake light
  • A number plate holder
  • An approved number plate light
  • Adjustable rear indicator brackets
  • A plug and play adapter that connects the rear lighting and indicators directly to the motorcycle’s original wiring harness

The options let you add front and rear indicators, LED resistors to regulate the flashing speed, and front mounting brackets and wiring adapters.

Fits with the original rear mudguard

The kit fits with the original rear mudguard on both the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

When keeping the original mudguard, drill one 6.5 mm hole in the plastic mudguard to secure it to the rear frame loop. A plastic spacer is included for a precise fit.

If you reinstall the original tail light later, its housing hides the drilled hole, so the modification is visually reversible.

For an even cleaner rear end, we recommend pairing the kit with our short rear mudguard for Royal Enfield 650.

These front indicator brackets are designed specifically for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. They allow compact aftermarket LED indicators to be fitted at the front fork. These small indicators cannot be secured at the original mounting points because the stock headlight brackets are too thick.

How to Choose Your Tail Light Kit Configuration

The three choices refer to the indicators: No Indicators, Rear Only or Rear + Front. The tail light kit is the base of every configuration.

No Indicators

Choose this configuration to replace the rear assembly without adding indicators. It includes the tail light, number plate holder, number plate light, rear indicator brackets, small frame cover and plug and play rear wiring adapter.

Rear Only

Add one pair of rear indicators to the tail light kit. You can also add one pair of LED resistors to correct the flashing speed.

The rear indicator wiring is already included in the main plug and play adapter supplied with the tail light kit.

Rear + Front

Bonvent’s recommended configuration

Choose this complete configuration to replace both front and rear indicators with a setup that works together electrically and visually. Select your indicator model: two pairs are included, one for the rear and one for the front.

For the complete conversion, you can also add front indicator brackets, front wiring adapters and two pairs of LED resistors. The brackets and adapters ensure a compatible plug and play fit; the resistors correct the flashing speed if needed.

Choosing the complete kit ensures that the lights, brackets and wiring are compatible with one another, making installation straightforward and keeping the styling consistent at the front and rear.

Why Choose the Bonvent Kit?

Configured with the available options, the Bonvent kit supplies the parts needed to replace the rear lighting and both front and rear indicators. Its small metal frame cover closes the opening exposed when the original rear light is removed, giving the rear a premium finish compared with aftermarket setups that leave this part of the frame visible.

The result: a compact tail light, a cover for the exposed rear frame, a number plate holder and a dedicated number plate light replace the bulky original assembly. Smaller road-approved indicators are available as an option. The rear of the motorcycle looks lighter and more refined.

The kit fits with the original rear mudguard, original seat, Bonvent custom seats and the Bonvent short rear mudguard.

With the original rear mudguard, installation requires one 6.5 mm hole in the plastic mudguard. A small plastic spacer is included to fit between the rear frame loop and the mudguard.

Fantastic looking and it makes the bike! i love the QC the build quality is exceptional.
However, i would have gave 5 stars, if it came with a physical color chart of the wiring diagram. The video that Bonvent provided is ok but a bit dated and with no detail text.
I’m good with figuring out things without clear instructions however it's not a perfect world,
not everyone is gonna get this dialed in on the first go so take your time and you will get it to work. On a positive note this is a nice working and looking unit.. i do recommend this one over many offerings out there.

FAQ – Tail Light and Number Plate Kit for GT 650 and Interceptor 650

Does this kit fit the Continental GT 650?

Yes. The kit is designed for both the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

It fits either model with the original rear mudguard or the Bonvent short rear mudguard.

Is this a complete kit or just a tail light?

It is a complete tail light and number plate kit. It includes the tail light, number plate holder, number plate light, rear wiring adapter, rear indicator brackets and rear frame cover.

Indicators, front indicator brackets, wiring adapters and LED resistors are optional, depending on the configuration you select on the product page.

Are the lights E-mark approved and CE certified?

Yes. The kit uses E-mark approved / CE certified rear lighting components.

The supplied tail light and number plate light are E-mark approved. The optional LED indicators are also E-mark approved.

Does this kit pass TÜV inspection?

Yes. The GT 650 and Interceptor 650 tail light kit passes TÜV inspection.

The tail light, number plate light and optional LED indicators use E-mark approved lighting components.

Bonvent customers use this kit in Germany and Switzerland, both markets with strict inspections. The rear lighting components are approved and designed for road use.

Can I install the kit myself?

Yes. The kit is easy to install at home with basic tools. Most riders can fit it in around two hours by following the step-by-step tutorial on the Bonvent Motorbikes YouTube channel.

You do not need a workshop or advanced mechanical skills. The wiring is plug and play, with no need to cut the original wiring harness.

Is a wiring diagram included?

Yes. A wiring diagram is included to identify the tail light, brake light, number plate light and indicator connections during installation.

It is also available in the product image gallery, so you can check the connector layout before or during fitting.

Why does the number plate light come on when I brake?

If the number plate light only comes on when you brake, its positive wire is probably connected to the brake light output rather than the running light output.

Move the red wire from the number plate light to the other supplied connector: if it is connected to the red wire on the adapter, connect it to the green wire; if it is connected to the green wire, connect it to the red wire.

Leave the ground connection unchanged. Test the tail light, brake light and number plate light before final assembly. If you are unsure, contact Bonvent Motorbikes before riding.

Are indicators included in the basic kit?

No. The basic kit includes the tail light, number plate holder, number plate light, rear indicator brackets, small frame cover and plug and play rear wiring adapter.

Indicators are optional. Choose No Indicators, Rear Only or Rear + Front to suit your setup.

Do I need LED indicator resistors?

Resistors may be needed when replacing the original indicators with smaller LED indicators. They correct the flashing speed and prevent the indicators from flashing too quickly.

When you choose the complete configuration with compatible Bonvent indicators, the matching resistor options are available on the product page.

Is the wiring plug and play?

Yes. The kit uses plug and play wiring adapters, without cutting the original wiring harness.

Rear indicator wiring is built into the main rear adapter included with the tail light kit. Front indicator wiring adapters are only needed for the “Rear + Front” configuration.

Is the installation reversible?

Yes. The electrical installation is reversible because the original wiring harness is not cut.

With the original rear mudguard, you need to drill one 6.5 mm hole. If you reinstall the original tail light, its housing hides this hole, so the modification is visually reversible.

Does this kit fit the Royal Enfield Bear 650?

No. This kit is designed only for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

A dedicated Royal Enfield Bear 650 version is sold separately.

Can I use it with Bonvent custom seats and rear mudguard?

Yes. The kit fits with the Bonvent custom seat for Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 and the Bonvent short rear mudguard.

Together, they give the bike a cleaner, more compact rear end, whether you are building an Interceptor 650 scrambler, a GT 650 café racer or a complete Royal Enfield 650 custom.

Do you ship worldwide, and how long does delivery take?

Yes. Bonvent Motorbikes ships worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.

Orders usually ship by DHL or Colissimo, depending on the destination and delivery option selected. For many international destinations, DHL delivery generally takes 1–3 working days after dispatch.

Are import taxes included?

For customers in the European Union, VAT is included and calculated according to their location.

For customers outside the European Union, products are sold without European VAT. The destination country may charge import duties, local taxes or customs fees when the parcel arrives.

Can I return the product?

Yes. Returns are accepted within 15 days if the product is new, unused and in its original condition. Shipping costs, customs fees and import taxes are non-refundable.
